Clean Ducts, Clean Air for Scarborough’s Health & Comfort

Dust, dust mites and pollen may hide in your air ducts, but they all make their presence known in a dirtier home and discomfort for the inhabitants. Do you or family members have allergies or asthma? Regular, professional duct cleaning should become part of your strategy for healthy indoor air quality.

Bigelow Heating & Air Conditioning ensures your home’s ductwork is free of irritants with a four-part system:

  • We use a powerful vacuum system pulling 20,000 cubic feet per minute.

  • We blow down the vents with a 275 PSI pressurized air system.

  • We follow with an air line with a skipper ball that air brushes all sides of the ductwork.

  • To finish, we disinfect the duct system with Microban®, a disinfectant used by hospitals.

Duct Sanitizing – Good-bye to Mold, Mildew & Bacteria

A combination of moisture and heat within your duct system creates, over time, an accumulation of bacteria, mold and mildew, which can trigger unpleasant reactions or aggravate respiratory problems. In instances where we find visible evidence of growth, we recommend a sanitizer specially formulated to kill 99.9% of all bacteria within your duct system while being safe for your home.

We apply the solution after thoroughly cleaning your ducts, using a fogging machine that disperses a powerful mist within your entire duct system. We then turn on your heating/cooling system to circulate the sanitizer for optimal coverage.

Relief from the Discomforts of Dry Indoor Air

You know the indoor discomforts of the winter months, especially when your heating is forced hot air. The heating season’s dry air can cause more than chapped lips and static electric shocks. Who wants itchy eyes, dry skin and sore throats too?

Find relief from all the miseries of dry air with a whole-home humidifier as part of your heating system. Keep your humidity levels at the proper level and your home will also be more comfortable at lower temperatures. No matter the conditions outside, a home humidifier is a great addition in not only protecting your physical comfort but also all of your home’s interior wood and valuable wood furniture.
